Best Set of Perks to Run in Black Ops 4

The Call Of Duty Zombies mode has constantly evolved through the years. It went from essentially a minigame in World At War to a full-fledged game mode with its own story and characters in later installments. Over the years, plenty of new mechanics and features of been introduced.

One of these features was introduced on the second map ever released: Verruckt. These would become the now-iconic Perk Machines. For a set price (outside of Black Ops Cold War), you could purchase them to gain some kind of ability. Some of the Perks are so good they're almost game-breaking, while others are never worth even trying to get.

10 Best: Timeslip

Timeslip was introduced in Black Ops 4, and, despite its singular appearance, the perk made its mark as one of the best Perks ever. This is largely thanks to the mechanics of Black Ops 4. Timeslip reduced the time it took to spin the Mystery Box and get your gun back from Pack-A-Punch.

Where it shines is in the Modifier slot. It reduces the time it takes to charge your Equipment and Specialist. In Black Ops 4, these are the two most powerful tools you have at your disposal, so getting them back quicker is a must for high rounds.

9 Worst: Double Tap

Not to be confused with its upgraded counterpart Double Tap 2.0, the original Double Tap was undoubtedly the worst Perk during the World At War Days and (most) of the Black Ops 1 ones. Double Tap simply made your rate of fire faster.

While not necessarily a bad thing, it's also very unnecessary. Double Tap more often just led to you wasting more ammo than you needed to. It had no real impact on Zombies since it didn't increase damage at all. Double Tap was always the last Perk you got and, when Mule Kick got added to every map, it was on no one's buy list.

8 Best: Double Tap 2.0

In Black Ops 2, Treyarch re-worked Double Tap to create Double Tap 2.0 that fixed everything wrong with the original Perk. It also increases the rate of fire, but it also fires two bullets whenever just one is fired. This means every attack has twice as much impact.

Double Tap 2.0 alone made Sniper Rifles viable in Zombies -- something never originally thought possible. It became an essential Perk with its 2.0 upgrade with the damage increase being incredibly noticeable. Double Tap 2.0 is so good that it makes almost every weapon in the game viable in some way (especially in Black Ops 3).

7 Worst: Death Perception

Death Perception was one of the many Perks introduced in Black Ops 4, and it never should have seen the light of day. It's a very big waste of a Perk slot as it doesn't actually do anything.

Death Perception simply lets you see enemies around corners with a small orange hue if they're close. The Modifier is somewhat useful as it deals more Critical Hit damage to weak points of Special Enemies. However, Specialists can kill any of those easily on their own, so this only wastes the Modifier slot for a Perk that is much more helpful.

6 Best: Dying Wish

Dying Wish is far and away the best Perk that Black Ops 4 introduced. When you are hit with a move that would have downed you, instead you stay alive with 1 HP and are invulnerable for ten seconds.

This essentially gives you an extra life as you aren't punished for getting cornered. Not only does this perk let you survive, but you are able to get into a better position, as well. Dying Wish recharges fairly fast, too, making it even easier to avoid downs and keeping your Self Revives safe for solo runs.

5 Worst: Deadshot Daiquiri

When Deadshot Daiquiri was introduced in Call Of The Dead, it immediately stood out as the worst Perk fans had seen up to that point. The only notable effect it had was that when you aimed at a zombie, it would automatically aim for the head.

The Cold War version is a bit better since it gives more Critical Hit damage when a zombie has full health, but it's still a flawed Perk. If you're a PC player, the effect to auto-aim doesn't even work either making it a dead Perk on PC in the pre-Cold War versions.

4 Best: Widow's Wine

The only Perk exclusive to Black Ops 3, Widow's Wine is one of the strongest ones ever released. When obtained, it changes all of your grenades into Widow's Wine Grenades. When thrown, the grenades will blow up into webs that trap zombies in them. In addition, this perk increases the damage of the knife with a chance to encase zombies in webs.

The reason Widow's Wine is so powerful is its auto-trigger function. If a zombie hits you and you have grenades, it automatically triggers it to go off. This means that it can easily save you if you get stuck in a corner and gives you so much survivability that even Juggernog isn't necessary if you have Widow's Wine.

3 Worst: Tombstone

Despite having one of the best Perk Jingles in the series, the power of Tombstone doesn't match the quality. Tombstone allows you to kill yourself early if you go down to drop a Tombstone that can be picked up to recover your weapons and Perks. This is widely considered to be one of the worst Perks ever.

The issue is that it is only useful if you die and there's not even a guarantee that you'll spawn close to your Tombstone to get it easily. The Cold War version made it somehow worse because you now have to pay to get your Tombstone while also not keeping your Perks.

2 Best: Juggernog

Juggernog immediately set itself apart as the first Perk you get on any Zombies run. In a game like Zombies, survivability is incredibly important and that's exactly what Juggernog provides. It will give you extra health that allows you to reach high rounds easier and safer.

It's especially important in early entries into the franchise when Zombies down you in just two hits (three in Black Ops 3). It's so good that challenges not to purchase Juggernog are common to add a ton of difficulty to runs. Its presence was missed during the Black Ops 4 era, but with Cold War, it's back on top.

1 Worst: Who's Who

Making only one appearance on Die Rise, Who's Who remains the worst Perk in all of Zombies. Upon going down, you enter "Who's Who," where you are given your starting loadout (so only a Pistol) and have to try and revive yourself to gain your Perks back.

Sticking you with a weapon that stops being good after Round 2 is what makes it so bad. In fact, it's nearly impossible to actually revive yourself. It was later implemented into Cold War's version of Tombstone but remains just as bad as before -- especially with how random the location you spawn in is.
